Out & About: Kanye West Listening Party @ Tinney Gallery

Two weeks ago, one of the most anticipated albums of the year was FINALLY released to the listening audience. Kanye West introduced his album, The Life of Pablo, in only the way that Kanye West would drop an album - in Madison Square Garden during a a fashion show (featuring HIS LINE) while his family rocked ALL WHITE. Oh yeah, the production was simulcast all over the WORLD at Regal Movie Theaters. It was a worldwide listening party and everyone was invited.

Last night I was listening to a popular blogger tell the story of her rise to online stardom. If you've never heard of Karen Civil, you need to get familiar. Karen Civil has hosted brunches, emcee'd events for Hilary Clinton, and now has a book. For all intents & purposes, she's super successful! But, even Karen has her regular moments.

In her interview she talked about wanting to do an AMAZING shoot for her birthday. Her commentary made me laugh out loud - like, for real. I have a bunch of blogger besties and we ALWAYS talk about doing an cool shoots for our birthdays. The outfits, balloons, flowers, confetti, and whatever else, we can't act like all the fashion blogger girls do it. Midday Motivation

Happy Monday Everyone! KayElle here bringing you a little midday motivation. Today's quote "I don't have time to be fake!" is something I have said for years. Typically it is in reference to socializing with people, but I believe this quote needs to hold true for bloggers and their content as well.

As a blogger (or influencer), you need to remain true to yourself! Don't feel like you have to say you love every single product you review or that you have to compromise who you are by posting images or portraying yourself as something you are not just to gain a follow or like. Be genuine, and when you are you will gain loyal readers and followers who will visit your page because they trust you and your opinion!
